What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Your initial visit is all about understanding your oral health needs and developing a tailored treatment plan.
Step 1: Consultation & Assessment
- A thorough review of your dental and medical history
- Clinical examination of your gums, teeth, and supporting structures
- Periodontal charting and measurements
- Diagnostic imaging (such as x-rays or 3D scans, if required)
Step 2: Discussion & Treatment Planning
- We’ll explain your diagnosis clearly and answer any questions you may have
- Treatment options will be discussed, including procedures, costs, and timelines
- A personalised treatment plan will be prepared and sent to you and your referring dentist
Referral Process
Most of our patients are referred by their general dentist, but a referral is not mandatory. If you’re concerned about your gum health or considering dental implants, you are welcome to contact us directly for an appointment.
Before You Visit
- Bring any referral letters, x-rays, or scans provided by your dentist
- Provide a full list of any medications you are taking
- Allow approximately 60 minutes for your initial appointment
Ongoing Care and Maintenance
Periodontal health is an ongoing commitment. After active treatment, we’ll develop a maintenance plan that includes regular check-ups and hygiene visits. This helps prevent recurrence and ensures the long-term success of your treatment.
